META |
The offspring of Apple Fritter and Scott’s OG, Apple OG is a relatively symmetrical cultivar that slowly settles into something far more relaxing in brief increments - avoiding any freefall. |
Apples are finally receiving their proper due. Long absent from the fruit bowl, apple cider has started flowing through our favorite limbs of the cannabis family tree. The balanced offspring of Apple Fritter and Scott’s OG, Apple OG carries its Kush and Cookies lineage out of the orchard and into the mainstream.
Effects
A relatively symmetrical variety, Apple OG incrementally settles into something far more relaxing. Its Apple Fritter lineage brings hefty sativa titans Cindy 99 and Sour Diesel to the gene pool – however, the racing effects one would expect are halted, then pushed back by its Animal Cookies relative.
Apple OG enhances the senses without carrying the anchor of fatigue. The stimulating front end offers a clear and motivated headspace for work – whether creative or redundant. Productivity gradually descends after a few hours, letting you down easy and able to fall asleep.
Patients have reported Apple OG as beneficial in lessening symptoms of conditions such as chronic stress, appetite loss or nausea, chronic pain, and depression.
Appearance
The buds are dazzling, like candied Macintosh apples rolled in raw sugar. Beautiful as a New England orchard in October, when the season’s transition is marked by vibrant shades of red and purple atop the fading emerald of Autumn’s departure.
Fragrance/Flavor
On the exterior, Apple OG is sweet and earthy – with lots of sour citrus high notes. When ground up, the air fills with the fragrance of apples soaking in a punch bowl of gasoline. In terms of flavor - the fresh, cold-pressed cider envelops the taste buds in sour fruit and citrus, leaving behind some faint hints of earthy pine.
